Keystone Human Services honored Charles DeHart, III, Esq. with the 2015 Joseph Adlestein Professional Leadership Award. Presented annually, the award is given to a person who has shown exceptional leadership and advocacy for men, women, and children to live meaningful lives in the community.
DeHart has been an important touchstone in Keystone Human Services’ major decisions for over forty years. Since 1974, he has served as Corporate Counsel. Under his leadership, Keystone has been reorganized many times to develop an ever-expanding continuum of services created to support some of the most vulnerable children, adults, and families in the communities.
His dedication to his community and his profession has been exemplary. He has been a member of the law firm Caldwell & Kearns since 1972, and Standing Chapter 13 Trustee for the Middle District of PA since 1987. A member of the Dauphin County and PA Bar Associations, DeHart is a frequent lecturer in bankruptcy law and has served as a Special Master in Divorce for Dauphin County Common Pleas Court. He has also served as Past President of the Hummelstown Borough, Paxton Area Jaycees, South Hanover Soccer Association, Chairman of Hummelstown Planning Commission and the Dauphin County Cancer Crusade, Past Campaign Treasurer for both the Honorable Judges Lee Swope and William Caldwell, and is current a member of the Fulton Bank Advisory Board.
